TransAxis Reinsurance (Pvt) Limited Company (TA Re) was incorporated in March 2021 and started operating in November 2022 after being granted a licence by the Insurance and Pension Commissions of Zimbabwe to transact reinsurance business. TA Re specialises in nonlife reinsurance and risk management services to corporates and direct insurance companies. Our role is to advise and provide capacity to corporates and other organizations to effectively manage risks. We provide risk transfer solutions to organizations across Africa and the rest of the world. This is in line with the vision of the shareholders of establishing an insurance group outfit with presence across the globe. Our company understands the insurance market in which our clients operate and offer service built on specialised solutions. We are committed to building long term relationships through the development of creative solutions to day-to-day risks faced by our clients. The promoters of TransAxis Reinsurance have in depth knowledge and experience in insurance, reinsurance brokerage and reinsurance and have identified service gaps in the reinsurance market. From the information gathered, it is evident that there is no adequate focus on product research and innovation in the domestic market, thus creating a room for new players. Therefore, the establishment of TransAxis Reinsurance Company is not merely to create another competitor within the industry but rather bring in much needed innovation in product development and service delivery.
