He was the acting Head of Department of Ophthalmology at Greys Hospital in 2010. He then went to London and completed a Fellowship in the Adnexal Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is the only Ophthalmologist in Kwazulu Natal to have completed a dedicated Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery. He has had his own private practice since 2011 in Durban.
