Physiotherapy improves your physical condition by restoring normal body functions and prevents disability that may arise from injury, disease or trauma. Physiotherapists use hands-on techniques, electrotherapy and other exercise modalities to restore a patient’s impairment (SASP). At the out-patient department conditions mainly treated are lower back problems, neck pain & headaches, as well as sports injuries. Post operative in-patient conditions are knee & hip replacements,as well as neurological conditions, eg stroke. Further referrals needed will only happen after consultation with the referring doctor involved, where necessary. ​ patients are also treated at Intercare Sub-Acute hospital ​ Physiotherapists are first line practitioners which means we can see patients without a doctor’s referral.
