Our unique ceramic refractory system allows our fireplaces to burn at a far higher temperature than traditional fireplaces increasing efficiency and minimizing waste. This efficiency means that not only do Designer Fireplaces require far less maintenance but they also produce far less ash. By burning at higher temperatures, only one percent of the wood's original volume remains as ash so most Designer Fireplaces only need to be cleaned out at the end of the cold season.
